The pink granite coastline offers an infinite variety of landscape – rocky headlands, tall cliffs, secluded coves, fine sheltered harbors, countless islands and wide sandy beaches.
For people interested in out of season holidays the coastline is magnificent to walk we have many different walks from the gites ranging from an easy half hour to a two hour hike through beautiful countryside and woods. The local beach at St Efflam has an excellent water sports centre where you can hire dinghies, sand yachts, kayaks or try your hand at wind/kite surfing. Tennis and horse riding are within 5 minutes drive. For the real French flavour we recommend Lannion market, which is held every Thursday morning, and Plestin market which is held every Sunday morning and in the summer there is a Tuesday evening craft market and you can sample the local food and beers listening to local music. (Simon’s jazz band played there this year in August and are re-booked for 2014).
